Gandhi Tribute in Amsterdam Brings Peace Advocates Together

Indian and Dutch participants came together in the Dutch capital for a floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around human rights, peaceful cooperation and non-violence.

Held at Gandhi’s statue on Churchilllaan, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. Participants also discussed future cooperation in educating young people about fundamental human rights.

The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is connected with the principles expressed by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, described the Amsterdam meeting as an example of civic responsibility across cultures, stressing that knowledge of human news eu vote rights can support social cohesion and democratic resilience.
